As i sit here at work, drowning myself in club crackers and copious amounts of chocolate, i feel that i should explain my situation to the world. Today really didn't start out the way that i wanted it to. It did make for a humorous morning though. I woke up this morning slightly dazed by the sound of cars quickly leaving my house. I looked at the clock and low and behold, i had a half an hour before i had to leave to school. I had been up late last night finishing a huge paper that i had due today, and i had forgotten to set my alarm. Frantically i surged out of bed and into the bathroom. As i hopped in the shower, i felt that something was amiss. Never mind. I was in a hurry. It wasn't until i got to washing my feet that i registered what was wrong. I still had my socks on. Great. I love my life. :)

On to explaining the title of my post though. :) I know that there are many "potter impersonators" out there but i swear that i met the real deal today. Or at least he thought he was the real deal. He came into my Human Development class and sat next to me about five minutes before class started. He then engaged me in conversation, and we discussed how he came to be at BYU. He said that he was visiting his "muggle" cousin and had an hour before meeting him so he decided to sit in on a "muggle" class. No joke. Needless to say, i was stunned into silence. What do you say to these people? I was half afraid he would pull out a gnarly tree branch and cast a spell on me if i said anything he didn't like.
So,I did the only thing that i could think of to do. I smiled politely and pretended to have an urgent need for something in the bottom of my backpack. As i struggled to re-arrange my things for the third time, and started to wonder how long i could pull this off without it becoming obvious, a poor, friendly soul came and sat on "Mr. Potters" other side. Score!! While he talked to her for the rest of class i eavesdropped on their conversation. It was quite entertaining and i relished in the awkward feeling of the poor individual who was subjected to his many stories. By the end of the first half an hour i was very familiar with his past. Much of it was just as J.K. Rowling had written in her "biography" of him. He did throw in a few twists of his own to liven things up.
To be quite honest, i had this strange urging to pull out my pencil and quietly whisper some spell while waiving it at his face. But good sense took over and i resisted the urge to tease him. He probably would have attacked me. In fact, given his mentality i am almost positive. I spent the next 45 minutes or so imagining the awesome scenarios of him jumping up and challenging me to a duel. Most of them ended with us dueling up and down the isles and me calling for the aid of Lord Voldemort, just to freak him out.
What a weird day. But it has been quite enjoyable. To finish off this post, here is are some pictures of lance and i taken at the mall in a photo booth. :) They are fun.
Picture Appearus!!!! (I couldn't help it...:D)
